Iranian stars gather in new film

Iranian actresses Baran Kosari and Sahar Dolatshahi have started shooting for Soheil Beiraghi’s upcoming film ‘Cold Sweat’. 

Also starring Amir Jadidi, ‘Cold Sweat’ went to the filming stage two weeks back with such phase scheduled to end in late August.

Born October 17, 1985 in Tehran, Baran Kosari was born in an artistic family. Her father is film producer Jahangir Kosari and her mother is director Rakhshan Bani-E'temad.

Debuting with ‘The World's Best Dad’ (1991) by Daryoush Farhang, she has appeared in the dramas ‘Let the Sun Rise’ (1998) and ‘The Spiritualists’ (2009). The actress has also played in such titles as ‘Blue Scarf’ (1994), ‘Dancing in the Dust’ (2002), ‘The Third Day’ (2006), ‘Nothing’ (2009) and ‘Forced Blessing’ (2009).

She has won a Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress for her role in the movie ‘Binam Alley’ (2014).

Kosari was twice nominated for a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Leading Role in the competitive section of Iranian films for her performances in ‘Mainline’ (2006) and ‘The Third Day’ (2006). She won the award for her role in ‘Mainline’.

Dolatshahi has appeared in series such as 'The Passengers' (2009), 'No Pain, No Gain' (2010), 'Family Conspiracy' (2010), 'Heart of Ice' (2011) and 'Red Cap' (2015).

She has also appeared in other films, including 'Fireworks Wednesday' (2005), 'While We Sleep' (2008) and 'Metropol' (2013).

Dolatshahi’s appearance in Ice Age (2014) grabbed her Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role from Fajr Film Festival.

The film's synopsis is as yet to be released, a media report said.
